MOSCOW, March 20 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping met with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, on Monday in Moscow.

The comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination between the two countries has safeguarded the international fairness and justice on the one hand, and promoted common prosperity and development of the two countries on the other, Xi said when he met Putin.

At the invitation of Putin, Xi arrived earlier in the day in the Russian capital for a state visit.
