PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian side has shown understanding toward Russia's concerns, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

During a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the Kremlin, Russian President Vladimir Putin focused on a number of concerns related to "upcoming elections in Armenia, Yerevan's intention to leave the Eurasian Economic Union, and the Karabakh issue," Vesti.ru reported.

The meeting between Putin and Pashinyan took place on April 1 at the Kremlin. The Russian president noted that Moscow remains calm about relations between Yerevan and the European Union.

Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the decision on the status of Nagorno-Karabakh was made by Armenia's authorities, and Russia has no involvement.
